Doshas

Vata The clear type vata is governed by apana-vayu. These are usually slim and tall people, and sometimes short and small people. They are very sensitive and usually it is not recommended to apply density treatment of the tissue. Apana-vayu is easily distorted in all vatta types and causes many problems. People of this type are active, erratic, hasty, nervous, and tense. They suffer migration pains, pains in the tendon, sharp muscle pain – which are usually on the surface and often their bodies are deformed and disproportional. They are cold-blooded and do not have good blood circulation. They can show great ignorance toward the life and their energy. Women usually have irregular and painful menstruation, and sometimes pre-menstrual problems accompanied with sharp pains. Their emotional condition is unstable with rapid changes in the mood. Vata-type  are predisposed to accidents.
Vata-Pitta – These people are governed simultaneously be apana and  samana vayu and are more keen than the representatives of the pure vata type toward strong migrating pain in the muscles – usually on an average level. In some cases the application on a deep level of a tissue therapy is appropriate, especially if the person is well prepared for it, he/she agrees to the therapy and even insist for it. In this configuration the body is more vata than pitta. As a rule Vata-Pitta are usually nervous people and their tenseness can be released with slight and rapid outbursts as well as more furious ones. Nevertheless they have more sensitive tune and they require more delicate attitude toward them-self. They have more sense of responsibility, than the vata type and they suffer worse the stress situations. Women suffer less disorder compared to the pure vata type, but here there are menstruation disturbances and sometimes more intense and sharp pre-menstrual pain. This type also has inclination toward accidents.

Vata-Kafa – These people are governed by apana and vyana vayu and are predisposed to the type of deep migrating pain. Nevertheless the predominant vata, they can have heavy (kafa) bodies. They are very sensitive of a touch, compared to the pure kafa type or the other types of kafa combinations. With a suitable preparation the tissue therapy is not just suitable, but also beneficial.  The representatives of this dosha type have an inclination to collect and contain the whole nervous pressure, which is usually in high levels. Women have menstrual disturbance, but without pain, or more dull pain, than the other types. Vata-Kafa are usually clumsy and are predisposed to accidents.
Pitta – The pure pitta type is governed by samana-vayu. Its representatives are short in height and have medium body construction.
They are more open to touch, in case they believe they are in the good hands of an experienced specialist. The representatives of this type have sharp pains localized in a defined muscle level- usually medium. They are predisposed to inflammations of the muscles and the tissue. In dull tissue therapy, can unlock strong emotions and anger. These are passionate people – active, intelligent, smart, well aimed and will-full, dominant and determined. They are with hot nature, they have good blood circulation, they are pink-cheeked  warm hands and legs. Women often have severe bleeding and sharp local pain, during menstruation, combined with nervousness and emotional outbursts.

Pitta-Vata - These people are governed by samana and apana-vayu and are warmer than people of vata-pitta type. They are predisposed to sharp and strong pains, which are usually concentrated in a certain area, they have increased inclination to migration and stress. Pitta-vata  have hot, with easy inflammations of the muscles and strained nerves. They often overwork and fall into stress conditions, which bring to sharp and strong muscle gripes. Women have irregular, variable menstruation cycle with pains time by time and abundant bleeding.

Pitta-Kafa – These people are governed by samana and vyana-vayu and are the coldest of all pitta types, but with deeper a usually better blood circulation. They have sharp mind and strong body with powerful muscles. Principally in some moments of their medical treatment it is more appropriate to apply tissue therapy in density. In this type the muscle pains are deeper than the other pitta types. Often these pains are strong, intensive and are localized at a single place. Women have regular abundant and long menstruation cycle with pains during the bleeding.

Kafa – The pure kafa type is governed by vyana-vayu. This is the strongest and well-knit from all constitutional types. Its representatives are predisposed to completeness and are slow in their movement and thinking. These are very resistant people, who will never quit their medical treatment, especially if they understand the necessity of it and have an emotional connection to the therapist. They are more difficult to be motivated and the changes have to be done gradually but subtly. They like tissue therapy in density and they prefer it even on the first treatment. They like to feel the muscle massage and the fat depots brake down. The technique with feet hits and the flat part of the elbow are the most appropriate for kafa type and not at all for the vata type. The representatives of kafa type suffer deep, dull and localized pains. They are keen to sentimental and deeply emotional discharges. But this can happen only if there is a personal contact between them and the therapist. They have the slowest blood circulation and their vanes are deep in the tissue. Women have extremely regular menstruation with less or no pain. If there is pain it is dull. Before and during menstruation depressions are possible.
Kafa-Vata – These people are governed by vyana and apana-vayu. They detain deep nervous pressure. They need tissue therapy in depth, but they have to be emotionally ready for it, because they are sensitive and there are a lot of things in their dense tissues. The fear often is one of these deeply stored things. They can have dull, migrating pain of an average or surface level. Usually they are energetic, interested and active in life. Sometimes the stress causes tremendous influence over their body structure. Their blood circulation can be the worst compared to the other types (irregular and with slow delay). Women have regular cycle with irregular dull pains in some months. Sometimes nervous depressions are possible.
Kafa-Pitta -    These people are governed by vyana and apana-vayu and are the most active and persistent between all kafa types. They have good deep blood circulation and large bodies, without having enormous weight. They are predisposed to strong and sharp pains, usually localized at one place. Despite of this, the pains are usually manifested when stress and pressure are at cause, as well as in dramatic and emotionally unstable situations at home or at work. Women have regular menstruation, sometimes with disturbing abundant bleeding or dull pains during menses.
Vata-Pitta-Kafa – These people are governed by prana vayu and it is claimed they are more massive than pitta, but smaller than kafa. They are considered to be strong and healthy , without pain manifestation or some other disturbances.
We have to note, that prana vayu is the ruling force of the five vayu and it always participates in the health of a man. With the same logic, apana-vayu is always related to the sickness and disturbances of the health, because it is represents the contrary of prana vayu.
Vata – As a rule vata controls all movements in the body and the mind. This is the ruling principle of movement in the nature and human body. That is why, controlling all movements, vata is directly connected to the nervous system, it includes the blood circulation, the respiratory system, the muscle and the motion function, the five senses, intestine release, the release of milk, the menstruation, the sexual function and the sweating. Vata is connected to the bones and skeletal structure. It creates dryness in the body, when its levels are too high and sluggishness when the level is too low. Together with pitta, vata controls the hormone function. The other two doshas are inertial without vata. The other vata sub-types are governed by the different aspects of its function.
Prana vayu- controls the inhalation, the other four vayu, the five senses, the thinking, the health and the growth.
The symptoms of unbalance – loose of sensitiveness, worry, anxiety, insomnia, dryness, emaciation (atrophy), illness as whole.
